Shipping Challenges: An Important Update Dec 1, 2024
Hello Friends,
Running a small business often brings unexpected hurdles, and right now, we’re facing one of those moments. We want to address the delays some of you have experienced in receiving your orders, and we owe you both an explanation and our heartfelt apologies.
The recent Canada Post strike has significantly impacted our ability to ship your orders. As a rural business, Canada Post has been our primary shipping partner since day one. Unfortunately, some of the packages we shipped just before the strike are now stuck at various sorting facilities. Despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to retrieve these parcels, leaving us waiting alongside you, our valued customers.
We understand how frustrating this is and are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Please know that we are taking immediate steps to prevent this from happening again. We’re expanding our shipping options to include UPS, Purolator, and DHL. However, the surge in demand has caused these carriers to restrict service to many postal codes, including rural areas like ours. We’re working tirelessly to navigate these challenges and find solutions to keep your orders moving.
We respect and support the workers of Canada Post and acknowledge the importance of their strike. At the same time, we’re committed to doing everything possible to minimize the impact on you.
Here’s how we’re moving forward:
- Temporary Pause on New Orders: We’ve halted sales temporarily to focus on resolving existing delays.
- Alternative Shipping Providers: We expect to finalize new carrier partnerships within the next week. All orders placed after November 12 will be shipped through these alternative carriers.
- Support for Affected Customers: If your order is delayed, please check your order number against the list below. If you need further assistance, email us at michael@westcoasthydrosols.com, and we’ll do our best to help.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges. Your trust and support mean everything to us, and we’re committed to making this right.
Warm regards,
Michael & Gina
